The Academy of Management’s George R. Terry Award is given each year to a book judged to have made the most outstanding contribution to the global advancement of management knowledge during the previous two years. DiTomaso's book, which explores the persistence of racial inequality and its effect on the nation's politics and economy, was among five finalists chosen from 65 books nominated for the 2014 award.
The American Non-Dilemma by Nancy DiTomaso, Rutgers Business School professor and vice dean for faculty and research, received runner up in the Academy of Management’s annual best book competition for 2014.
